PSQUARE SAGA: Trouble Looming Ahead?

#PeterAndPaulArePSquareNotJude – Peter Okoye Rants On Twitter

By Femi Akinpelu Joseph

On the night of Tuesday, 16th February, 2016, one of the duo of P-square group, Peter Okoye came out public with a revelation of things going on between the group (Psquare) and their manager and brother, Jude Okoye.

He stated his intention through his twitter handle, @PeterPsquare, insisting that the services of his brother as their manager was no longer needed!

It is not certain if this move is supported by the more relaxed Paul Okoye, but one half of the P’Square duo, Peter Okoye has narrated some of the internal problems in the P’Square house, pointing accusing fingers at their elder brother, Jude Okoye for poor management.

Peter even went ahead to warn people to stop transacting business with Jude.

But why?

See his tweets…

Psquare Fans i know y’all have been asking a lot of question concerning us.— Peter Okoye
I don’t have a problem with Paul but the management. — Peter Okoye

Been nurturing and managing this problems for over 4yrs now. Don’t take my silence as a weakness. #done — Peter Okoye

Psquare is not breaking up. I stand here to defend Psquare 100%— Peter Okoye

And for those that will start saying Psquare is breaking up. We are not. Just that the management needs to go.— Peter Okoye

I stand here 100% for my brother Paul and Psquare but not with our so called management. #period— Peter Okoye

I have regretted a lot of things in my life… But trust me this is not one of them. #NoMoreFamilyBusiness — Peter Okoye

Forcing your self that you must remain Psquare’s is so crazy! #enough — Peter Okoye

What the fans want is Peter and Paul Psquare and that’s what I want. Period! — Peter Okoye

How can you run a Business with no structure.— Peter Okoye

Pls peter and Paul are Psquare not with Jude. Thanks — Peter Okoye

Family business can be pain in the a$s.— Peter Okoye

Pls who so ever makes any transaction with Northside Entertainment or Jude Okoye on Psquare’s behalf does so at their on risk. #warning — Peter Okoye

Peter and Paul has the right to sack the entire management team. Business is Business. #Period — Peter Okoye

A manager is been employed by the artiste not the other way round. #truthBeTold — Peter Okoye

Peter was however quick to clear the air that he’s not breaking up with his twin brother: Why worrying.. We r not breaking up. Calm down — Peter Okoye

However, Jude Okoye, also tweeted to respond to Peter's attacks through his tweeter account, he said,

"#prayeriskey, My brother Please be prayerful. Only God can rescue u".

He twitted further by saying, "lol@pdf file. Abeg join us pray for him too. He's bn going through a lot lately".

Later in the morning of Wednesday, 17th, Peter again replied his brother, Jude, saying, "if he (Peter) needs prayer, then Jude himself needs God".

Peter's twin brother, Paul, came out Thursday morning to say that he stays solidly behind their elder brother, Jude!

Peter, afterwards has this to say in his latest tweets below...

  1. I am not perfect i make mistakes, and it hurts people. But when I say sorry I mean it. I am so SORRY for my actions. I sincerely apologize🙏🏽
  2. I choose to be the good, bad and the ugly of p2. Say what ever you want to say. Need to save my second half. Period
  3. Legal or no legal. We don't owe him.. We don't even have a contract with him. So it's all good.
  4. Am still on the hashtag
  5. But let's not go deep.... I still stand my ground. He is fired
  6. But after 2 weeks she signed with Jude.... My brother think am.
  7. 3day later returned my contract and said jude said me trying to sign her on a different label is becoming a problem
  8. You then said you heard I wanted to sign her. And then ask what will pple be looking at Jude as if I sign an artiste
  9. Was in the studio with working with her and u told her to excuse us.
  10. I setup pclassic records 3 and half yrs ago
  11. Fans and friends I totally agree with you that we are grown ass men that we shouldn't be doin this. But you guys deserve to Knw the truth
  12. My bro I will still stand and fight for you because you and I started this journey b4 Jude came onboard as our manager
  13. Teampsquare ask my twin brother why today him and Jude owns squareville. And if that didn't happen Psquare would have bin over 4yrs ago
  14. Teampsquare pls help me ask my twin why he insisted that everything we own must be shared equally with Jude . Otherwise Psquare should split

Tweets

  1. Where you belong because you both where doing business behind me? And I get to find out?
  2. 2013 I told Jude his no longer needed as our manager he agrees only for u to come to me that if he is not our manager then we should split!
  3. On the 4th of Jan dis yr I came to you and told your friend to excuse us I need to talk to you and u insisted that you friend must be around
  4. I have come to you several times to resolve issues between us and with some family and friends but what happen?

It appears glaring that Peter's mind is made up and there is no going back.

No one could tell at the moment where this matter would end. Whether Jude, who has been managing his brothers, Psquare will remain fired or get called back, it is not clear.

But only time will tell!

Whichever way it goes, GOODLUCK to PSQAURE and JUDE OKOYE as you all get on in the struggle!!
