Unbelievable: See What The Ooni of Ife Says About The Common And Average Nigerian People

Image result wey dey for pictures of ooni of ife

According to Hip TV, the foremost Yoruba paramount king, oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has made some interesting statements about the life of the everyday common people in the society.

The statement, made by the royal father, was published by the cable

TV channel, Hip TV, on Monday 22nd of  January,
2018, on its Instagram page, @officialhiptv.

Read his stements here below;

FROM OONI OF IFE.. "There Was a time I Boarded the BRT Bus In Lagos. The Reason Is Very Simple; I am Quite Passionate About Mankind, So I Developed a Concept to live like the Common Man At least Once Every Month Because I Believe We Did Not Come Into this World With Anything.  I Would Drop Everything I Have to live like An Average Man Struggling In life. I Would Visit People Under the Bridge, Ride On a Motorcycle And Board a ‘Molue’ to Wherever I Was Going In Lagos. It Was Very Stressful But those times Were My Best Moments In life Because I Got to Relate With the Real People. I Saw their Sufferings And Felt their Plights."

"When I Ascended the throne, I Requested the Elders to Grant Me the Opportunity to Continue the Concept, but they Did Not Agree, So I Coined a New One that Would Go In line With the throne, Which Is Stopping My Convoy Whenever I get to a Particular Open Place With Moderate Crowd And Buy ‘Boli’ (Roasted Plantain) And ‘Dundu’ And Other Basic Food Items Because We Don’t Have to Forget Where We Are Coming From In life.
Which Position Are you that Nobody Has Never Been In life? When you Serve Mankind, you Serve God. Our People Have Disconnected From the Less-Privileged And the Downtrodden."

"Each time I Stop, the People Are Always Happy And My Security Men Are Usually Afraid And they Caution Me to Get Into the Car But I Always Make them Realize that I Cannot Be Harmed By these People. They Are Just Excited And I am Always Happy to Be In their Midst. At times, I Would Not Come Out of the Car."

"But Most times, I Do Get Out to Shake People’s Hands and I would Buy From them What they’re Selling And Pay them Higher than What they Have Sold.
I Will Be Sick if I Am Not With the Common People; It Has Always Been My Lifestyle."

Long live oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. May your reign be filled with more wisdom and more grace!

Aftermath Chelsea Defeat, See What Redknapp Has To Say About Lukaku

Chelsea defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on the evening of Sunday 5th November, and while it was a good game for Alvaro Morata, it was a bad day in office for Romelu Lukaku.

here were questions of who would be the better signing, and former Liverpool midfielder and football pundit Jamie Redknapp thinks Conte will be delighted with the player he signed.

“Far too often we find ourselves talking about Romelu Lukaku failing to have an impact in the big games,” he told the Daily Mail.

“He may complain that his Manchester United team-mates did not create enough chances for him against Chelsea.

“When the greatest Premier League strikers such as Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer had to feed off scraps, it did not stop them from scoring.

“You still have to work and try to carve a goal out of nothing but Lukaku seems to have a knack of finding himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

“Contrast this with Alvaro Morata, who was superb leading the line for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

“I am still not completely sold on Morata but he held the ball up well and his header from Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross was stunning.

Chelsea striker, Alvaro Morata heads home the winner against Manchester United... on November 5

“Lukaku was Antonio Conte’s first choice to replace Diego Costa this summer. After this, he may feel he has had a lucky escape.”

Remember This Guy? - Abdulmutallab The 'Underwear Bomber' Sues US Justice Department: Check To Know Why!

  • Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab who serving multiple life sentences in the United States for trying to bomb a plane has sued the U.S. Justice Department, Federal Bureau of Prisons and Attorney General Jeff Sessions for denying him free speech and religious rights. .
    .
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, popularly known as the ‘Underwear bomber’ had on Christmas Day 2009 attempted to set-off a bomb hidden in his underwear during an Amsterdam to Detroit flight. .
    .
Abdulmutallab, who was then 22, was sentenced to life imprisonment and jailed at the United States Penitentiary-Administrative Maximum Facility in Florence, Colorado. .
    .
But in a suit filed in a Colorado federal court on Wednesday, the 30-year-old said authorities in the prison were violating his constitutional rights by not allowing him to communicate with the outside world or practice his religion as a Muslim. .
    .
The lawsuit alleged that once Abdulmutallab got to prison, he was immediately placed in long-term solitary confinement and placed under special administrative measures (SAMs) that prohibited his communication with most of his family members up until last year when he was allowed to talk to his sister. .
    .
According to reports, he’s still not allowed to talk to any of his nieces or nephews. The lawsuit further accused staff at the facility of repeatedly force feeding him during a hunger strike using “excessively and unnecessarily painful” methods. .
    .
It alleged that white supremacist inmates were also permitted to harass him during prayer times. “Prisoners retain fundamental constitutional rights to communicate with others and have family relationships free from undue interference by the government,” said Gail Johnson, his attorney, in a statement to the New York Times.

Redeemers' University Saga: Banky W Rallies Support For The Expelled Student, On Instagram

  • By Femi Akinpelu Joseph

  • RnB singer, Bankole Wellington, popular known as Banky W has added his voice on the controversial expulsion of a former student leader of Redeemers' University, Ede.
The former president of Redeemers University's Student Association, Debo Adedayo, was reportedly rusticated recently, few weeks to his convocation, after the University deemed a post that he (Debo) made on his facebook page to be offensive to the management board.

The original post that Debo shared on facebook that led to Redeemers University expelling him, here below.

Debo, however, declared that the case is already being legally pursued as he has launched an appeal against the decision of the faith-based institution. He now calls for support from Nigerians on his case while he awaits a possible reversal of the disciplinary action meted out to him.

In a bid to help save the future of the ever active and award-winning former students' leader, Banky W calls for support from all well-meaning Nigerians as he shared a post on his Instagram page, with Debo's picture, hashtags and caption, through his hanlde @bankywellington below.

  • bankywellington"For those active on Twitter, please check out the hashtag #RedeemAdebowale. Retweet and Chime in if you can. Some of us are trying to help this young lad @mrmacaroni1 who's being unfairly punished by Redeemers University. After 4 years of being an exemplary student (with tons of awards, honours and numerous achievements representing the school - he was the leader of the student union), they expelled him days before his graduation, because he was critical of some Professors and Directors in a Facebook post. I read the post and it would definitely be considered offensive by the school. However, it warrants correction at best. It is unfair and most certainly, un-Christ-like, to wipe away 4 years of a student's hard work and model behaviour because of this. For what is supposed to be a Christian institution, it's ironic that they are being the opposite in trying to ruin this young man's life. The punishment does not fit the crime. Please chime in and help us shed light on his case until they reverse their stance and let him have his degree. It's a sad, sad day when the world has to plead with a representative of the Church for redemption, forgiveness and justice."
