7 GOOD REASONS TO BE A PROUD CHELSEA FAN... Despite current poor form

By Femi Akinpelu Joseph

Chelsea football club of Egland is currently having their poorest form as an elite club and also experiencing the worst start to a football season, in their history, in 2015/2016 season.

It definitely hasn't been the best period for the supporters of this club, that has already lost 9 out of 18 matches, and won only 6, in all competitions.

But interestingly, here are 7 good reasons why the fans of this club should remain faithful supporters and be proud to be associated with the London Blues.

  • Chelsea is the only club in England and United Kingdom that has won the EPL, F.A Cup, Capital One Cup, UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Europa League within the space of 3 years (2012 to 2015).

  • Chelsea remains the only European club in history to have won both the UEFA Champions League and Europa League in 2 consecutive seasons (2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons).

  • Chelsea is the first and the only London club to have lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy (in 2012).

  • Chelsea is the first club in England to have won the new Carling Cup after it was changed to Capital One Cup (In 2015). Chelsea has been managed by at least 5 Champions League winning coaches -- Jose Mourhino, Carlo Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink, Roberto De Matteo and Rafa Benitez.

  • Chelsea is the only club in the whole of Europe that is referred to as the Billionaires' Club and the only club in EPL that puts on overall blue colour as home jersey.

  • Chelsea is the only English club since 2010 till now to have won the EPL title (2009/2010) beating all its closest rivals (Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal ) both at home and away, in that same season!

  • Chelsea has the record of the English club to have won the EPL with the highest number of goals (95) in a season (In 2005).
So, for a team that has achieved this much in the past couple of seasons, it is only natural that it slows down a bit to gather some momentum again. After all, it is said that "life would not be interesting if there were no challenges".

It is only a matter of time before this team gets back to its usual dreaded form.
