Adeleke University, a faith-based private institution located at Ede, Osun State, western Nigeria, has held her third convocation ceremony, for the 2016/2017 academic session.
The event took place on Sunday, 16th of July, 2017, at the institution's permanent campus, in Ede town.
The pro-chancellor, Dr. Deji Adeleke, led other dignitaries such as former deputy-governor of Osun state, Iyiola Omisore, his brother and the recently elected senator, Ademola Adeleke, the university's council members, principal officers, deans, heads of departments and the graduating students into the ceremony venue.
A total of 251 students graduated from the faculties of Sciences, Arts, Business and Social Sciences, Basic Health Sciences, out of which eighteen (18) finished with a First Class grade.
Esther Ekwonwa Chinonso, from the department of Public Health, finished as the 2017 Class of Eagles' Best Graduating student, with a total C.G.P.A of 4.92.
Ekwonwa went home with a cash prize of one hundred and fifty thousand naira (N150,000) from the pro-chancellor, in addition to the eight different categories of awards prizes that she won at the convocation ceremony, on Sunday.
