Adeleke University Students' Leader Meets Sowore, Discusses Future of Nigeria, Beginning With His Institution

The President of Adeleke University Students Association (AUSA) Oluwatomiwa Fadeyi has over the last weekend, met with the famous Moyele Sowore, Presidential aspirant in the 2019 general elections, renowned activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters.

In the privileged meeting which held on May 26, 2018 at the NUT Plaza, Ogbomosho, in Oyo State - Nigeria, Fadeyi buttressed that indeed Nigeria needs hands that can take the nation to the promise land. He told the Presidential aspirant that he is very confident that the youths are absolutely ready to take their future into their own hands, as they seek a completely new phase in 2019.

Sowore, while responding stated that “if sustainable development is what we seek then it is indeed time to elect young, vibrant and capable hands”. The Sahara Reporters publisher also added that he is most inspired to Take It Back for the future generations, including students of various universities across the country. The Presidential hopeful showed concerns for various vices which have invaded universities, including the menace of drugs, cyber crimes, cultism and so on, which he traced to the issue of incessant lengthy strikes and delays, which rendered these students jobless, and therefore vulnerable to these vices.

While presenting souvenirs of the University to the Mr. Sowore, the AUSA President added that Adeleke University is “a breed apart”, and is completely free of these vices.  Fadeyi added that both the Students’ Association and the University management have pledged to join hands together to prevent any of those vices from creeping into the school system, as there is zero tolerance for cultism, cyber-crimes, drug-abuse, and all others.

At the closing of the meeting, Omoyele Sowore expressed his desire to visit Adeleke University in the nearest future, honouring the invitation stretched forward by the Students' Association President, to talk to the “breed apart” students of the faith-based institution.
