Metabolic
diseases are diseases that come as a result of our lifestyle and eating habits,
and not just by micro organisms. Medical experts have always said that people
should be careful of what they eat and be conscious of their food habits. As it
is said “you are what you eat”.
It is
advised also that it is best to lose weight by natural means, gradually, and not
by taking drugs.
And the
kinds of food we eat and the way we live on a daily basis will determine how
well and how long we live. To ensure you have a healthy everyday life, you
should try the following are healthy food tips you should try.

Think
of water and exercise as food groups in your diet. You should drink a glass of
water every morning after waking up. And possibly with a teaspoon of lime or
lemon.
·
Exercise
also helps burn energy, the minimum is walking around, at least walking for a
minimum of 30 minutes, 5 times every weeks.
·
Balancing
your diet is also very important. The ideal carbohydrate food portion is the
size of one’s fist, and adds other classes of food like protein, vitamins and
lots of vegetable and fruits. If you eat heavy portion of food (especially
carbohydrate), the body only takes the little it needs and then stores the rest
as fats.

Take
time to eat (chew) your food, and enjoy it.

You
should also take time to eat your food and not rush it, with that you get
satisfied earlier than when rushing it. And when you rush food, you overeat.
·
Breakfast
is the most important meal of the day. It boosts the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
and makes the best use of energy in the food.

If
possible, it is advisable for people to do without dinner. But if you will have
to, then it should not be after 7 pm. And if you have to eat after 7 pm, you
should take about 1,000 steps before sleeping.

The
more colorful your meal, the better. Your diet should be in varieties. (Most of
the colours should be fruits and vegetable). The fruits and vegetable have a
lot of anti-oxidants. They also have fiber. Anti-oxidants help us to fight
toxic in our body. Because our bodies store up toxic substance, through
different means, smoke, and etcetera.

Unpolished
rice (local rice) is better than the polished rice. Everything that contains
white flour should be reduced e.g. white bread, meat pies etc. The best kind of
bread is the wheat, because it contains fruits.

Chicken
and turkey (white meat) are better than the red meat. Oily fish is also
encouraged, especially for people with high blood pressure. Children need more protein
and adults also, but should be at a limited proportion.

Limit
your sugar and salt. It adds to weight.
Soft drinks should not be a daily routine.
·
If
you must add sugar to your tea, use brown sugar or honey.
·
Processed
and packaged foods also have cancerogenic agents, and are risky to our bodies.
